Leon is the location for the El Mesias Church. It is a Bethania Church campus locate in the Candelaria community. Pastor Emilio worked at this church when he was a Bible student in the 1980's for two years. Then God called him to move to Masatepe and pastor Bethania Church. A few years ago he realized that this little church was at a closing point and he decided to start supporting it again. They have made many repairs on the building over the past year and also helped the community with food and medicine.
